Get Involved! Volunteer!

Volunteering offers so many benefits for yourself and for your community. When you volunteer you gain a sense of achievement as you accomplish goals and help bring about a positive change. Volunteering also offers a chance for personal growth as you discover new skills and capabilities, overcome personal challenges, and learn more about yourself and those in your community.
Another important aspect of volunteering is the chance to give something back to society. We all play an important role in our communities and in society as a whole. When you volunteer you make the world a better place to live.

Volunteering is a great way for families to connect and offers excellent opportunities for teaching children how to become responsible contributing members of society. Volunteering can be fun as you meet new people, form new friendships, and make a difference in the world. With so many positive benefits what's keeping you from getting out there and lending a hand? Get Involved! Volunteer Today!

At the trails end...

In the village of Columbiaville there's a quaint little country store that's sure to surprise! As you pass through the doors you are greeted with a warm smile and a friendly "hello" from shopkeeper Shyrll Olson. The rich aroma of fresh brewed coffee and the fragrant scent of fine teas beckon from the back of the shop where a steaming cup is always on the house. S&J Country Store carries a delightful array of country style gifts, as well as an assortment of candles, bath products, teas and coffees. Whether you are shopping for yourself, or someone special, you're sure to find that perfect gift. Next time you're in Columbiaville visit Shyrll at S&J Country Store, located at 4617 Pine Street inside the MJP Healthy Living Center next to the village office. Don't forget to visit our new web site! www.sandjcountrystore.com

Friends of the Southern Links Trailway

A great way to get involved and make a difference in your community is to join the Friends of the Southern Links Trailway, also known as the "Friends" Group. We are an organization of civic minded folks whose primary goal is to promote and raise funds for the trailway. It's a great way to meet new people and to make an important difference in the community in which you live. We are always looking for volunteers to offer their special skills for this great cause. Worried you don't have what it takes? If you can pick up this newsletter, you qualify! For more information on the "Friends" group call Steve Keim (810) 793-4558
